PAN FRIED FRAGRANT MEAT SLICES

CMCO is re-imposed in almost all states in Peninsular Malaysia from 9 November, 2020 till 6 December 2020 for 4 weeks.  It is time again to Stay Home to be safe.  Marketing trips have to be cut down to the minimal.  For those who are preparing meals at home, simple and easy dishes to cook for the family are best to consider.  
This dish is an example of simple dishes where lean meat and marinade are the basic ingredients needed.  It is alright if you do not have the garnishing ingredients, these do not affect the taste of this dish.
Without the toasted sesame seeds, the meat slices do look tempting for you to pick up a piece or two.  The marinated lean meat pieces are quick to cook.  They are moist,  tender, tasty and yummy-licious with a unique flavour of the Worcester sauce. Just serving them with rice and some sliced cucumber or salad leaves would be great for a satisfactory meal.
Ingredients
[serves 2-3]
300 gm lean meat [pork back meat] - cut 1 cm thick slices 
some shredded spring onions and red chillies for garnishing
some toasted sesame seeds for garnishing
some oil for frying
Marinade
1 tbsp meat curry powder [use more if you like it spicy]
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp chicken stock granules 
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp Worcester sauce
1/4 tsp salt to taste
a few drops of oil
50 ml water

  1. Tenderise or pound the meat slices with a meat pounder or the back of a cleaver. Cut each piece into 3 smaller pieces or keep whole [according to own preference].
  2. Add marinade to meat slices, mix well and add in water.  Mix with hand until the water is absorbed into the meat.  Set aside to marinate for 1-2 hours in the fridge.
  3. Heat up a non stick wok, add oil and pan fry the meat slices in a single layer until lightly charred and cooked through.
  4. Sprinkle some water, stir fry for a few seconds and dish up to serve.
  5. Garnish with garnishing.
