Maui Moisture Heal and Hydrate + Shea Butter Hair Mask Review

I use regular hair conditioners and I don’t use deep conditioners because I oil my hair before I shampoo them. Nevertheless, I found this hair mask on a deal and also it had good reviews and contains natural ingredients. So, I decided to try it. I am new to this brand and have tried only 2 hair shampoos from this brand. I enjoyed both the shampoos and here I am reviewing the Maui Moisture Heal and Hydrate + Shea Butter Hair Mask in this post.

My Experience with Maui Moisture Heal and Hydrate + Shea Butter Hair Mask:

I am exclusively trying out hair products that are devoid of sulfates, parabens, chemicals and so on. That is why I started using products by Maui Moisture since it is low on harsh chemicals. Deep conditioning is also recommended for frizzy, wavy hair like mine, so I decided to try the product in this review. The product comes in a 12 oz tub packaging with a screw-on lid on top. The tub is pink in color with gold accent and has the product details like name and ingredients on the tub. The product claims to contains 98% naturally derived ingredients. It is free of sulfates, surfactants, silicones, phthalates, parabens, gluten and dyes.

I shampoo my hair after hot oil treatment. I usually let the oil sit overnight and then shampoo the next day. I start with my scalp and then work my way down. I take a small amount of shampoo and create lather to wash my scalp and then work the lather down to my hair ends. I do this process twice and no more to avoid stripping my hair of all the oil. I used a coat button size amount of shampoo twice to rinse my hair and followed it with this deep conditioning hair mask. I took a big scoop of this product and applied it from roots to the ends of my hair and left it on for 10 minutes and then thoroughly rinsed it off of my hair.

This product claims to deeply condition the hair and aids in restoring damaged strands and fix split ends. The rich and creamy formula made with shea butter, coconut oil, and macadamia oil makes every strand silky smooth and frizz-free. This product makes my hair easy to detangle and becomes super soft and smooth. It also has a very subtle pleasant fragrance, but it does not linger for long. It also preps hair for heat treatment or styling if one needs to do that, it visibly reduces frizz and makes the hair easy to manage and soft to touch. This product is gentle on my dry hair and controls frizz – this is what I expect from a hair mask and it delivered that. I am happy with my purchase.
