Today’s review is on an Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Stick from Dove. Currently, I have two variants from this range, but here, it is all about Dove Natural Touch Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Perspirant/Anti-Transpirant Deodorant Stick. I keep repurchasing this one, and finally, got time to pen down its review. So, let’s read further to know more about it.

My Experience with Dove Natural Touch Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Perspirant/Anti-Transpirant Deodorant:
Packaging: Dove Natural Touch Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Perspirant/Anti-Transpirant Deodorant comes in a slightly curved plastic bottle with a twistable bottom. It has a translucent sap green coloured cap. There was a lid provided with the stick to protect it from the cap but, I threw it on the very first day. One has to close the cap carefully in order to prevent the product from depositing over the rim of the cap. The packaging is sturdy and compact. It can easily stand on your counter basin or dresser. Aside from this, it needs a little space in your handbag, and thus it’s travel-friendly.
Texture and fragrance: The texture of the stick is super rich, silky and creamy. It glides effortlessly over the skin. Coming to the fragrance, it is very mild and pleasant, which will not bother sensitive noses. But, I can smell the scent from the stick and while applying the anti-perspirant only. After applying, the product gets absorbed into the skin and, only a hint of the fragrance lingers. The fragrance eventually fades away after a few hours, which is a considerable drawback for an antiperspirant stick. The deodorant stick is off-white in color, but it looks almost transparent when applied onto the skin.
Usage/Result: My mother and I, are extremely loyal towards Dove products. We both are using these anti-perspirant sticks since a very long time, almost for many years. There are many variants available that no one can get bored of them easily. I have a few mild perfumes and these sticks in my stash. I don’t have any odour issues, but the wetness bothers me. I started using the sticks, when the aerosols started irritating and suffocating me, and eventually, I gave up on them. Now, coming to the usage, I read on Dove’s website that the stick should be applied at night for better results. So usually, I use it after the shower in the evening but, I have used it in the morning as well. When I use it after the shower in the evening, there is no need to reapply the stick for the next whole day that ensures at least 24 hours protection. Well, if I use the stick in the morning, I started feeling a slight wetness at the end of the day.
Though the odour is not a problem, I think it can control it as well. Also, I think, it works better in the first way as the product gets sufficient time to absorb into the skin. Generally, I need only 2-3 swipes for all-day protection. Although it takes a few minutes to sink into the skin still, if you are not patient enough, it doesn’t stain the clothes. The application is totally fuss-free. The sea minerals are known to provide moisturization to the skin, and they make my skin super soft and smooth. The stick does not dry out my skin, rather it keeps my skin moisturised. It makes my skin feel fresh all day. I am using this anti-perspirant stick for a long time, and it never irritated or darkened my skin. Only a small amount is needed at once and, you don’t need to use it daily so, the whole stick lasts for a longer period.

- Availability; it is almost hard to find this one at a reasonable price.
- Fragrance does not stay for long.
- Cannot control sweating on extremely hot and humid day.
